Cha-Ching!
"If it don't make money, it don't make sense." I love everybody, but in 2010 I've decided I'm done cheapening the gifts that God gave me. My gift is to make room for me and sustain me. I challenge you to understand the value of your gift and help other folks to understand it's value as well! NO MORE HOOKUPS, so please don't ask! "Halleluyerrr...."

CAN YOU FIND THE MOTORCYCLE IN THIS PICTURE?
NOW DO YOU SEE IT?
The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The rider’s reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place. All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly.
We’re dealing to two really big issues here:
TALKING/TEXTING WHILE DRIVING
It’s really unfortunate that texting while driving is no longer the “exception” but it seems like it has become the “rule”. The irony in this whole phenomenon is that a society that actually talks to each other less than every before seems intoxicated with electronic communication. Cell phones, email, Facebook, Twitter and texting are all substitutes for actual face-to-face CONVERSATION!Statisticians say that “texting while driving” is even more dangerous that “drinking and driving”. Come on folks. Let’s slow down a little and think about what we’re doing.
DAREDEVIL ATTITUDE
“It won’t happen to me”. “They got hurt or got in trouble because they didn’t know what they were doing”. Unfortunately too many of our young people (and some old ones) think that natural law doesn’t apply to them. You have to ask yourself “why is necessary for anyone to drive 85mph on a surface street?” The answer is simple: He just didn’t think "it" was going to happen to him. If you love the people in your life and have any influence at all, please stand up and say something. Their lives may depend on it!

Evander Holyfield's Wife Accuses Boxer of Domestic Violence

Former heavyweight boxing champ Evander Holyfield has a little drama going on in his life. This week, his wife Candi filed a temporary protective order against her husband, claiming the boxer's been physically abusive.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the case was filed last week in Fayette County, Georgia, Superior court, in which Candi alleges that Evander committed a violent act against her in the presence of two of their children.
The listing said the case involves a "family violence ... protective order," but provided no additional details.
The court documents, which were posted on RadarOnline.com, accuse the boxer of choking, hitting and throwing a bottle of water at his wife of seven years.
"He got up and turned the light on and started looking at my face and told me he was sorry, that he knew he shouldn't have done that," Candi stated in the petition.
The paper reports that the incident began because the heat was cut off in the couple's home. "He told me that I was only thinking about myself," she stated. "He started telling me that I needed to start putting God first in my life."
She further claims her husband's abuse against her began six months into the marriage, when she was pregnant with the couple's first child.
They married in July 2003. Candi is Evander's third wife, and the couple has two children together.
Holyfield is a four-time heavyweight boxing champion. Throughout his career, he's amassed winnings of more than $200 million.
He is still fighting at the age of 47 because he's BROKE!!!!
For real Evander? You're an "ear biter" a "wife beater" and BROKE? WOW, there's no FOOL like an OLD FOOL!

Taking Care of (my) Business
I know this may sound simplistic, but all I want to do in my life right now is please God. I've finally figured out that no matter how hard I try, someone is going to misunderstand, feel hurt, disappointed or dissatisfied. It's not that I don't care...I'm just exhausted!
As long as there are more than 2 people in this world, there will be differences of opinion and perspective. One person will want or need things that are diffrent and sometimes even contrary to the needs of the other. Sometimes when this type of conflict arises compromise is key. Other times it becomes a matter of what God says about the matter.
For me, I'm no longer interested in a whole lot of compromise. I've almost compromised myself right out of God's plan for MY life. What I need in 2010 is for a whole bunch of people to GET UP OFF ME!!!! I'm gone do me. I need you to go ahead and do you. I'm not interested in what YOU think I should do. I'm not really interested in putting my stuff on hold while I tend to your lack of initiative and responsibility.
I'm not being ugly or anything, because I really love everybody, but because I love God more, I have to live a life that pleases Him. I have to accomplish the things that He's assigned ME to do. I realize now that if I do that, everything with everybody will eventually be cool. The scripture says in Proverbs 16:7 "When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him." I think I'm gonna go ahead and do that.

Preach Preacha' (for real)
If I hear another church cliche' I'm going to backslide! Can I get some real preachers to go before the Lord and get a FRESH WORD?
Believe me, I understand that it's more than a notion to prepare a message every week in addition to teaching bible study and visiting the sick and making sure that the bills are paid...BUT, we must never get to the place where we take the Sunday worship experience lightly. Some people are literally trying to decide whether to live or die and a word from the Lord may be the only thing that will make them realize that there is something to live for.
Stop "preaching" the lyrics to your favorite songs. Stop "preaching" somebody elses message that you saw on YouTube or Streaming Faith. Stop "preaching" recycled messages that you just changed the title to. Stop "preaching" magazine articles and for God's sake, please stop "whooping" for 15 minutes when you can't come up with anything else to say. The people deserve more than that.
I pray for every apostle, pastor, prophet, evangelist and teacher who has been charged with the responsibility of pointing us to Christ. I pray that a new fire and new hunger for the voice of God overtakes you. We'll all be the better for it.

Talking To Yourself!
What do you do when you have to shake your head at your own actions? Questions like: "Why did I do that?" or "How did I get into this situation (again)!". Let's be honest with ourselves and begin to not only ask the questions, but ANSWER them honestly! Then and only then will we have taken a meaningful step towards never having this conversation with ourselves again in the future!
The problem with most of us today is that we've been convinced that having an "issue" is a sign of weakness. We've been led to believe that if we're going to be respected or admired, we must be perfection personified. The flaw with this school of thought is that it doesn't allow us to enjoy the benefit of being human. Human beings are imperfect and prone to mistakes. Humans by nature are creatures that are forever evolving; ever growing; ever learning. If we never take the time to get in touch with our deficiencies or short-comings, we deny ourselves the opportunity to grow.
I learned as a child that until you learn the lesson from the mistake, you're doomed to repeat it. The only way to learn from your mistakes is to first admit that there is one. Second, you must train your mind to be open to new ways of doing things. If you do what you've always done, you get what you've always gotten!
Today, let's challenge ourselves to take a good, hard, honest look at the man(or woman)in the mirror. Ask yourself the tough questions and allow your reflection to give you the answers.
